Stadia
The larger your club’s ground capacity, the more money you can potentially earn with fans paying to watch your team. However, the larger the game the more money required each week to maintain the stadium and keep it to a level where its safety certificate will be valid.
Your Ground Capacity can be increased at any time will be completed immediately. The cost is £200 per seat. Therefore a 1,000 seat increase will cost £200,000. You must have cleared funds in your club’s bank account in order to upgrade your stadium capacity.
Each week you must pay maintenance costs for the upkeep of your ground. The cost is £6 per seat per week. Remember, your 47,000 capacity stadium will incur a £282,000 maintenance fee each week. This must be paid every week whether you are playing at home or away.
When playing at home, you will need to set two factors relating to your stadium.
1. You must select how much money you wish to spend advertising the game in the local TV and press. The more you spend the more likely the casual fan will consider attending the game and the higher your attendance figure will be. The minimum advertising fee for a senior club fixture is £100,000 while the maximum is £400,000.
2. You also need to set the admission price for fans attending the game. Set it too high and you will put people off coming, but set it too low and you might sell out the ground too easily and lose precious revenue. The Einnek FA has rules governing admission prices and all clubs can only change between £20 and £70 per person.
For example:
A team changes £40 admission and spends £280,000 on advertising. Their ground capacity is 50,000 and they have an attendance of 36,682. This would nett the club £887,280 in profit that week. If they were away the following week they would lose £300,000 in maintenance fess with no incoming revenue.
