Youth League Matches
Every side in Einnek Football has its own youth team which plays in the Einnek Youth League. The youth league consists of six divisions of eight teams, playing a seven week season. All games are played on neutral venues and not gate receipts are forthcoming to sides.
The youth ranks are where managers can see how younger talent performs and decide if they want to give them a full professional contract. Players are paid nominal wages and have a maximum skill level of 5.
As with a senior fixture, points are awarded based on the match outcome with a bonus for scoring three of omre goals in a game.
League points are gained as follows:
| Result | Goals Scored | Points Awarded |
|---|---|---|
| WIN | 3 or more | 4 |
| WIN | 1 or 2 | 3 |
| DRAW | 3 or more | 2 |
| DRAW | 0, 1 or 2 | 1 |
| LOSS | 3 or more | 1 |
| LOSS | 0, 1 or 2 | 0 |
The skill levels of your players can also change following a youth league fixture. However, any changes are NOT dependent on the result of the match, but the individual players’ performances in the game. Players can go up and down in skill level and the result of the game has no baring on any skill changes. In each match a side may see one player increasing in skill and/or one player decreasing in skill.
| Best Player Ratings | Skill Changes |
|---|---|
| Multiple 9 ratings | best player +1 skill (maximum skill 5) |
| One 9 ratings | 9 rated player +1 skill (maximum skill 5) |
| 8 ratings | no skill changes |
| 7 ratings | no skill changes |
| 6 ratings | no skill changes |
| One 5 rating or lower | 6 rated player -1 skill |
| Multiple 5 ratings or lower | lowest rated player -1 skill |
Note: If a team’s best performing player is already a skill 5 then no skill point will be awarded to that side.
Players can get injured during the course of a youth league game. Any player selected for a game when not fully fit is more prone to further injury. Therefore a manager has to weigh up the risk of selecting any player when they are not fully fit.
Cautionable offences are peanlised with time in the sin-bin rather than yellow cards. Any player who is sent to the sin-bin twice in a game will be suspended for their club’s next fixture. If a banned player is promoted to the senior ranks his suspension will be inforced for the next senior club fixture.
