Season Six & Game Change Amendments
It would seem that the changes announced last week have got many of you talking. Most are broadly in favour of the changes, but a number of people have emailed, posted on the forum or called me to discuss them in depth and their effects on the game.
While the changes are welcomed by many there are concerns about the scope and extend of the changes and their overall effect, especially on the number skill 6s there will be and dealing. Well, never let it be said that Einnek Football is a dictatorship. I have listen to all your comments and have made some alterations to the published changes based on the very constructive feedback I have received.
The changes are now as follows:
1. Players DO have to play for their clubs in order to be eligible for international selection. Any player who is suspended or injured and therefore unable to play a club fixture will be allowed to play in an international if their suspension or injury issues are cleared after the club fixtures are played.
2. All players (any skill) will now receive a maximum of 20 WACS when they change skill level. The Player of the Week, ‘A’ International Man of the Matches and Team of the Year players will be awarded 25 WACS. ‘B’ International Man of the Matches will get 20 WACS.
3. Players will be awarded a skill increase every 10 International Points, starting at 20 IPs – there will be no skill increase for players reaching 10 IPs. The retiral limit will stay at 50IPs where a player will receive 2 skill points. All skill increases due to caps will be at 20 WACS maximum.
4. By popular demand. From today any new player introduced to a side’s youth ranks will enter the game at a random age between 16y0m and 19y11m. This is a drop of one year on both the minimum and maximum ages.
Also, the 2 changes announced right at the start of the season will still take effect. Morale meaning more and IR being related to actually playing rather than just performances.
I apologise for the what must seem like constant changes, but feedback from the managers in the game have led me to make these alterations.
The online rule book will be update over the next 3-4 days and will be 100% up to date by Monday lunchtime.
Good luck with season 6

Youth Team of the Tournament
I have had a couple of managers suggest we have some more youth league related statistics. Among them a team of the tournament where the player of the tournament earns their club side some sort of prize (probably youth points or cash). What do people think?

Youth Player Promotions
It was brought to my attention that there was a problem with many of the youth players promoted to the senior ranks – they were keeping their form, goals, ratings, etc and it was skewing a few areas of the game. I have been through all the youth players that have been promoted to senior ranks and have adjusted their stats to reflect only their senior team appearances.
To clarify; all youth players promoted to senior ranks go up at the same skill and retain any international points they may have gained. But they lose form dots, goals, cautions and their performance record is wiped clean.

Statement from the Brazilian EFA
The Brazilian EFA have today announced that Purisco Mercurilaca has been re-confirmed as captain of Brazil for this season.
A formal review was required after Mercurilaca’s transfer from Rael Nerrad to West Leigh Warriors on 9th November. A brief statement issued by the Brazilian EFA stated that “Purisco Mercurilaca was still the right choice to lead the Brazil team and the whole country is right behind him and his team as they attempt to record a victory against bitter rivals Argentina and get their World Cup campaign back on track.”
