Retiring Players – 3 Retiral Limit
It appears that a number of you are not keeping track of the rules relating to retiring players for skill points.
Each player in the game can only be retired onto a maximum of 3 times in their career. This includes every retiral of any skill point onto a player – including retiring skill 5s onto skill 4s. A couple of managers have fallen foul of this recently so I wanted to make sure people were aware of it.

Tut tut …. people should check out the individual player stat pop up …. Hey any chance of having the LIP’s stat back to ??!
Mark, stat box had not updated on at least 2 players in my recent retiral. Not sure if rich is referencing me but it has been updated now. PRior to my retiral I mean. Didn’t realise the cap included low skill retirals . That’s interesting.
Every players does have a record of their total injuries in their career. Just a grand total mind you. Do people want to see this? I am concerned this might be an issue when dealing as people will put a very strange emphasis on it.
It would be an interesting stat to read but i think Rich has made a good point there. Look at the emphasis left and right footed players made!!
I guess that is why Leroy Joshua Lee has had so many clubs recently! I had been wondering whether people were paying attention before buying! At least he is now a fully fledged skill 6 and ready for retiral so no-one has to worry any more. Are there others that have already hit the three retiral limit?
I certainly liked to see the injury stats of players and was disappointed this was removed. It wouldn’t affect my dealings but would definitely allow us the chance to understand why certain players never seem to be fit!
I appreciate the point that a spurious conclusion maybe drawn from a high lip count and retract my request … i was more of the thinking the disciplinary record is fully transparent so why not publish a players ability to get injured aswell as likelihood to get suspended, but Balfers point is a good one … Mr Happy Of Blackburn
I’d like to see the injuries stat for every player… I think it’d be a handy stat.
I’ve got my own record of injuries from the past three seasons which has helped me when dealing.
And Re: Leroy Joshua Lee – never seen such a lazy player in my puff! The 5 ratings he got whilst at Gorgie Road!!!!!
