Whilst I was disappointed at first as had set a plan around this I can understand the reasoning.

However I do think that if a youth player has been playing excellently in the youth league then maybe they should carry some form with them.

I suggest that when a player is promoted they undergo a similar form reset to when an international is played:

0-2 form youth = 0 form senior
3-4 form youth = 1 form senior
5-6 form youth = 2 form senior
7-8 form youth = 3 form senior
9-10 form youth = 4 form senior
and so on.

If this is still a bit high then maybe 1 form dot for every 3 gained in the youth league could work. As someone who's playing amazingly as a youth would be on the radar for others like international managers from a youth stage. They would be given a chance over some players who aren't really playing well (or at all).

Failing that I likely the idea of Mark C's suggestion of youth players playing well enough getting a P to show them as a real prospect.

This is fair. I also like the idea that a youth player can still be in the international b teams with their form. makes the promoting them situation more interesting.

I came a cropper on this one. I saw the form of a youth player meant that if I promoted him, he would start the B games - so earlier this week, I traded away a B cap player for a youth player, intending to promote him just before the B cap game he can play in (My youth GK Grootes). It appears I have lost a good player for nothing now. Ah well - can't read it all every day.

Aye, excellent idea. I don't see how form from the youth league should be carried over to the first team.

It's simply, not fair on those that are playing in a games!

For me an untried player is a possible hidden star. Granted they often turn out to be donkeys but is the possiblity that holds their appeal for me.

Players have been traded yes, but only 2 had ever played. Strange how untried players seem to be in demand!

Have any of these players been traded between teams??

If so would the goals, form etc have increased their value at the time of sale??
