Team Submissions

When a side finds themselves unable to submit a team due to injuries or suspensions to key players then it is strongly advised you sort the problem yourself by dealing, buying a Sammy Bull agent player or introducing a new player.

In recent weeks a few sides have found themselves in this situation and rather than do something they just fail to submit either of their teams. Not only will you fail to receive the weekly 2 Youth Point bonus, but I will also sort the problem out for you. This could mean me using you valuable youth points or maybe even retiring a player in order to get enough youth points to sort the problem out. Not only will my actions cost you youth points and players, you will unlikely to get the sort of new player you really want.

Also, if I submit your team, I will not check internationals, players coming back from injury and suspension, so your best team is unlikely to play either.

It really is a lose lose situation doing nothing. You have been warned.

Crikey … looks like some people fly by the seat of there pants if this sort of thing is going on :)

  2. That Clinch Bloke says:

I think all of those penalties should apply and that an automatic defeat should ensue too. I still don’t understand why managers don’t submit a team when they check the results each week on a Friday and then if they do a deal later in the week they can re-submit. Surely it isn’t that difficult?

Cant believe there are managers who dont submit their side!!!Dont see the point of paying the money not to play the game!!Agree that if you dont submit then you should lose the game

  4. Mark says:

Perhaps theres good reasons sometimes which is of cause allowable …. but i’d be dissapointed and expect Big Sam to be punished if he didn’t turn up on a saturday …. actually …. would i !! :) )

  5. Rik says:

Why play the game if you can’t be arsed playing it!?!?

  6. Pagey says:

I personally believe that it should effect Heron and Cruso allocations also.

You should either not be eligable at all or it be on a sliding scale where each mismangement means you have a skill point taken off the said player and depending on whether it is mismanagement of your youth or senior depends on whether your cruso or heron are punished.

I don’t agree with automatic losses, as imagine if Rob’s side wasn’t submitted when one of my rivals were away to him. I wouldn’t be happy.

I’m not sure what the solution is, but I would like to see a very severe penalty for times that deserve it.

Maybe an automatic skill point loss on a randomly chosen player, so it’s possible you could lose a high skill point, on top of anything that needs to be done to be able to submit a side.

  8. Rik says:

How about being docked three points?

  9. LB says:

Reading through this something definately needs to be done. Very good point from Djay and liking Rik’s suggestion of docked points as that would only affect that club.

Dont worry Rich Welton there isnt a rule where you can go into Administration/liquidation :-D

Agreed – how managers find themselves in a position of not submitting either sides is crazy. I’m so paranoid at not having access on a given day I’ll submit my sides several times throughout the week! I guess I’m fortunate in having round the clock access. Maybe, if saving Rich the hassle of having to sort out submissions is the problem, something automated could be in place – when a side is submitted, it automatically submits an identical game for the next week … you might not have picked a few of the players again, but at least a team is there should the worst come to the worst. As for unavailable players in the second week, Rich would of course need to intervene in these cases.

:) :) :) I think any manager that doesn’t submit their team should have boiling oil poured over them…….you guy’s are funny!:)

In my opinion Rich does what he considers right so thats fair enough. This very nearly happened to me this turn, after moving to another country and finding it impossible to leave my snowed in house, I very nearly didn’t submit my team. I wouldn’t of been real happy if I’d of returned to find Tjger a skill 2 and the stadium burned down by you guys…!!! :) :) :)

  12. Rich says:

Actually Rob i think you will find if you dont submit your turn then Tjger automatically becomes mine!!Nothing i can do to save your stadium though…:)
Plus Andy its funny that i also have no money at Warriors so Einnek does mimic real football life!!!

  13. Mark says:

I bet u’d still try to get a couple of high ippers for ur burnt down stadium eh Rob :)
